TPU Simulator Release Notes for all builds of V3.10

V3.10A New Features and Fixed Bugs

Feature 1: Low Cost 68332 Debugger Now at production.

Overview: This release brings this product to production.

Impact: This products is now at a production quality level.

Status: Implemented.


Feature 2: Low Cost 68332 Debugger Now Supports NT 4.0.

Overview: The Low Cost 68332 Debugger now works under Windows NT 4.0.

Status: Implemented.


Bug 1: Test Vector File Misbehaves On First Run.

Overview: On the very first simulation run the Test Vectors may be at the wrong frequency if the following conditions are met:

  1. The Reset button has not been hit.
  2. _AND_ the target is NOT reset via a script command.
  3. _AND_ the TPU's frequency is modified via the Set_Cpu_Frequency() command.

Impact: In certain cases, the test vector files may drive test vectors at the wrong frequency.

Products Affected: TPU/CPU System Simulators and TPU Stand-Alone Simulator.

Status: Fixed.


Bug 2: The Script2C utility's help Screen is incorrect.

Overview: The script2C utility is used to create a compileable "C" file from script files.  The help screen incorrectly listed the utility name as "CMD_TO_C, instead of "Script2C".  Old script files naming conventions were also being used.

Impact: It was difficult to use this utility.

Products Affected: All.

Status: Fixed.


Change 1: The Encryption/Decryption Utility has been removed from the installation.

Overview: The encryption/decryption utility was occasionally used to allow web software deployment of version 2.X software.  This capability has been implemented directly in the installation utility and is therefore no longer required as a separate utility.

Impact: None.

Products Affected: All.

Status: Removed.
